NEWERA 2.11 - Migration

Hi. Does any one know of - ANY - advantage of newera 2.11 over newera 2.0 ? I just received newera 2.11 (yesterday) and after reading the release notes and doing some tests do not see any significative advantages (only problems) in v2.11: - It does not work with windows 95 as promised by our Informix support (thats VERY BAD as based on that I talked recently with a client and said that as version 2.11 was out we would be able to support windows 95 - teaches me to keep my big mouth shut and wait to see that some things are not only vaporware). :( - It does not compile files having characters with portuguese accents (well done informix). :( - And worst of all, we finished compiling a few programs with the new version and the programs do not work (they dont load). :( I'm now looking at some work: - Looking into all our 4gl code and substituting all portuguese characters. - A long job of trying various compilation switches to see if the programs do load correctly. - Looking at any features that happened to be incompatible between v2.0 and v2.11. - Recompiling all our code to the new version (as we have some 20000 4gl files, it will mean several days of compilation time). As we are now with a tight schedule with one client in production and several in the setup fase, if nobody comes forward with a reason to migrate to v2.11 I think the migration will be delayed, maybe forever - we will wait for version 3.0.
