DRDA (Informix <-> DB2 mainframe) Performance Q.

Hi all, I've got DRDA version 6.1 running under AIX on an sp2 node and pointing to ou.r DB2 mainframe db The problem is that queries running on the mainframe take under a minute, while the same query running under Informix(to hit thouse mainframe tables) take 20 mins and more! I was prepared for some performace hit, but... Interestingly, creating a view to the tables has increased performance to around 5 minutes..but there does not seem to be any ryhme or reason as to how to make the view. A view for one query, will increase its performace, but a similar query with the same view will receive no benfit whatsoever. Anyone have any suggestions at all? Thanks in advance, Jacque Istok
