I need to sell something in Canada and apparently I must supply everything in both English and French. Not a major hassle. Informix seem unable to tell me whether they do the error files in any other language, but I was speaking to their Sales people :-)) So the question are there French version of the message files that ship with the Client SDK?? If so how do I get a copy??? -- Paul Watson # WF Software # It said use Windows95 or better Tel ++44 1436 674729 # So I used Unix Fax ++44 1436 678693 # www.wfsoftware.com/informix #
AFAIK, you should be able to get the International Language Supplement, ILS. This will certainly have a fr_fr (French French) locale. Whether there is a fr_ca (French Canadian) locale is more debatable. It might mean that any MONEY values are displayed using French conventions instead of Candian conventions. However, it might be possible to get such a locale created; it shouldn't be very hard.
