SET EXPLAIN Error
Posted in 1996
I am getting the following two errors when I issue a SET EXPLAIN
command:
534: Cannot open EXPLAIN output file.
134: ISAM error: no more locks
I am running the command via DB-Access and ISQL. I have tried
both online and command line. I have verified that there are
available locks within Online, and that I can create a file in
the working directory. I am certain it is a file permission
error, as the UNIX root user DOES NOT get the error. I have
tried the following:
1. su root from user Informix - still bombs.
2. Run as Informix - bombs.
3. Run as other user -bombs.
4. Set HOME directory to /tmp - bombs.
5. su informix from root - bombs.
6. Set absolute INFORMIXDIR path rather than symbolic link - bombs.
7. Review INFORMIXDIR/bin permissions - looks OK.
8. Review available space on drives - OK.
9. Review UNIX semaphores - OK.
I am near the edge. Informix support hasn't been able to
help so far. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.
My platform:
Silicon Graphics Challenge XL running IRIX 5.3
Online DSA 7.12.uc3
INFORMIX-SQL 6.03.UC1
ESQL/C 7.12.UC1
