DBD Driver problem with AutoCommit for Infomix

I am currently using a Sparc Ultra running Solaris 2.6 and Informix Dynamic Server 7.30.UC3 and am experiencing problems with the auto-commit feature of DBD Revision: 1.9 Date: 1998/02/13 14:27:16 package over a shared memory connection with DBI v 1.86 1998/02/13 14:27:16 timbo Exp The problem persists when using perl5.00551 and the older perl5.00404. The error i receive is "DBD driver has not implemented the AutoCommit attribute at /export/home4/projects/elections/swassembly/join_election.pl line 13." This line is marked with a "->" my $dbh = DBI->connect("dbi:Informix:dbserver_name" 'username', 'password') || die "Could not connect to database: $DBI::errstr"; -> $dbh->{AutoCommit} = 0; $dbh->{ChopBlanks} = 1; I have looked at various news groups and mailing lists and found nothing that suggest a way out of this problem, execpt a possible bug with the gcc compiler v2.7.2.1. As we using gcc 2.8.1. this shouldn't be a problem. The software woks closely with the CGI package and runs from Apache Server version: Apache/1.3.2 (Unix) using mod-perl.
