Running tbtape in background

Hi, I've got a problem using tbtape(ontape) in Informix OnLine 7.01. I want to run tbtape in background via crontab entry. I start the following script #!/bin/csh tbtape -s << ! 0 ^M ! This should send '0' when tbtape asks for level of archive and a RETURN when asking to insert tape. Well, it did in OnLine Version 5.0 on a SCO system!!! But when I run the same script on OnLine Version 7.0 tbtape doesn't respond to ^M and repeats asking for the tape endlessly. After some timeout around 30 sec it gives up. What's wrong? Has tbtape change in the way it responds to input redirection? Please help, thank's in advance! CU Stefan
