Before you can Read The Fine Manual you need to be able to find stuff in it. I finally found what you want in (of all places) the Informix OnLine Programmer's Manual (Part No. 000-10075-22). Page 107 gives this syntax: CREATE DATABASE dbname [ IN dbspace-name ] (plus some other stuff) I don't have a complete manual set for OnLine, but the *Programmer's* Manual seems an odd place for this. Why not in a DBA manual? I like Informix products. Their manual writing is clear and informative; but their manual *organization* sometimes leaves something to be desired.
