CHAR variables are limited to 32,768 characters (at least in my }version), so can you PREPARE a 30,000 character SELECT statement? }Any other limitations in the complexity of the statement? Yes, you can prepare statements up to 32k - 1 characters long. If you're sure you know what you're up to, you can have more than one SQL statement in the string you prepare, with statements separated by semi-colons. In general, don't try mixing SELECT statements with other statements -- it'll give you headaches workig out which thing does what. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h>
