Problem with informix on Ultrix 4.2

Hello, We have a serious problem with informix installed on an Ultrix system. The system is: DECstation 5000/200 CX Total Memory: 32 Mb Swap configured: 94 Mb Operating system: Ultrix 4.2 The informix database contains about 1000 records. The mutation database contains about 7000 records. Our problem: When we delete a record (article) it takes several minutes elapsed time and (how strange) 40 seconds cpu-time. On a 386/SX with SCO unix it takes about 5 seconds !!!! Does anyone know what the reason could be.
