PRESS RELEASE: Status of Wingz/Hyperscript Tools.

Hello all, You may have seen the Press Release which announced that Informix has granted exclusive licensing rights of WingZ and HyperScript Tools to Investment Intelligence Systems Corp (IISC). Although the contract with Informix has been signed we remain in a transition period until June 30th 1995. This is to allow time for Informix to provide all the information necessary for us to take full responsability for the products. It will also allow us time to ensure we have the correct infrastructure in place to support the business. Until June 30th , unless advised otherwise, you should continue to contact Informix for sales and support. During this transition period we do not have enough information to make firm commitments for product development. However, we have some clear objectives and we know how we will promote the products. We plan to sell the products primarily through business partners in various countries. Those partners will provide local support in the local time zone and local language. Informix will be providing a list of their existing resellers in various countries and we will contact them to confirm they wish to continue to sell the products. We expect to have a direct relationship with some major users. We have already produced a Wingz Real Time product, current version 1.4.1. This product is available on SunOs and Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Dec Alpha and DGUX. We have a HyperScript Tools Real Time product, current version 1.01. This product is available on SunOs and Solaris and will be ported over the next 4 weeks to AIX, HPUX, Dec Alpha and DGUX. Our short term product plans include releasing HyperScript version 1.1 for various UNIX platforms and Macintosh. Providing a consistent 1.1 release for three platforms, Windows, UNIX and MAC. We plan to release WingZ 2.0 for various UNIX platforms, Windows and Macintosh. At this stage, we believe short term means by June 30th. It is also our intent to provide connection to various RDBMS from the UNIX versions of product. The HyperScript Tools Real Time product recently released provides connection to both Informix and Sybase through HST commands. The Windows versions already provide this functionality through ODBC. We will shortly be opening an office in Kansas in order to provide product and technical support to all US based customers. We will be sure to keep you informed of developments over the coming months but if you require further information please mail, fax or call. Best regards, -Keith Andrews.
