Datetime year to seconds field allows illegal time values.

We have a datetime year to seconds field has the following values in the database. 1994-03-31 20:06:60 1994-03-31 20:06:61 1994-03-31 20:06:62 .. .. 1994-03-31 20:06:C5 1994-04-01 00:00:01 The datetime value started allowing illegal values from 8 PM to 11:59 Pm, then the value is ok. We use dynamic SQL to insert the records into database.(prepare,describe and execute stmts). We get the current timestamp with an SQL statement 'select curent year to second from rptdummy' . But this happend only once on March 31st. Informix does give an error when i try to update any of those records through isql forms option. Is there any reason why the data got corrupted in the database? If anybody has any explanation for this strange behaviour, you can send me an email. My email address is shyam@minerva.robadome.com .
