Stored procedures in Informix DO NOT return record sets like Sybase or SQL server. The only way to get that functionality is using the RESUME mode and have your proc. return one record at a time. But that means the calling application has to loop thru until all records are returned. And the returns should be in the RETURNING clause (i.e. you need to list the data elements from the SQL to be returned). We have plugged in the SQL directly into our apps. when we needed recordsets.
