You don't say what version of the software you're using, but I assume it is not 4.12 (probably 4.10 or 4.11) as we fixed bug B13952 in version 4.12. B13952: SETTING WORDWRAP RIGHT MARGIN > 127 GIVE 8121, EVEN IF RM > WRM Basically, there was some code which said, in effect: if the right margin is greater than 127, the programmers cannot mean what they said, so let's generate an error. This annoyed people like yourself who said exactly what they meant to say. The value 127 figures in the problem because it is the default right margin minus the default left margin. The calculation was wrong -- the correct value should have been 132, even assuming that what was being attempted was correct, which it wasn't. My statement in my book was correct; it just didn't take into account a bug I wasn't aware of when I wrote it. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h>
