Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

We are currently in the process of moving much of our data stored in blob
spaces to smart blob spaces. The columns that were defined as BYTE columns are
now either BLOB or CLOB datatypes. In the past, I was able to retrieve data
based on the length of the data stored in the BYTE column with the following
sql.
select c_case_number
from images
where length(b_image_byte) > 45000
This column is now stored in smart blob spaces and defined as a blob data
type. Running this same sql, I receive the following error:
select c_case_number from images where length(b_image_byte) > 45000SQL Error (-674): Routine (length) can not be resolved.
Error Position: Ln: 3 Col: 7
Any idea on how to retrieve blob or clob data based on the length of the blob
column?
Thanks,
Susan
