dbspace ?

Hi, Sorry, I am a little bit new in Informix. We need to modify the structure of a table, and the system allways answer that the disk is not big enough. They say it's because the dbspace is too small. Questions : - is the Dbspace a file or just allocation ? - is there ONE dbspace per Database ? - is there ONE database per dbspace ? - how can I know which dbspace is used with this database ? - how can I check the size of the dbspace ? - how can I change the size of the dbspace ? - how can I be sure the the dbspace size is the reason of this problem ?
