In Administrator mode only users with Database System Administrators are allowed to connect. By default this would be user informix and members of informix group (on Unix and Linux). Also check the following document: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v115/topic/com.ibm.adref.doc/id s_adr_0017.htm Regards.
