+Thanks a lot for your help so far. What I am looking for is a way to
+change the pathnames of the chunks without having to move the data. I
+found a pseudo table named syschktab, that contains the pathnames of the
+chunks. Is there any way to manipulate the information in the pseudo
+tables? I would like to do something like "update syschktab set
+fname=<new path> where chknum=3".
Think about this. You want your chunk to be moved to a new path, but you don't want
to move any data. How is the data going to get from its current location to the new
chunk location? Even if it were doable (and there are some potential ways for
accomplishing it, none for the sqeamish ;-)) you still HAVE to move data somehow.
FYI, you cannot update any pseudo tables - they are read only.
Your safest way bt far is to dbexport the data, recreate your IDS instance and
dbimport it back in.
