My understanding is that this is true -- they are stopping all development ( after all -- it is a character based system ). I don't think it will go away soon -- many very large installations have all their code in 4GL -- but I would sure look to migrating to something else soon ( If it were my decision I would aim at using Java with HTML for screen handling ).
