Error: Please install 4gl Run-time

My application vendor just finished an upgrade and now my 4GL programs issue the following message: Please install an INFORMIX-4GL Run Time Facility and run this program again. They told me to update statistics to clear the problem. This seems a bit odd to me. Can anyone provide additional input? Should I re-compile?
