Re-creating logical volumes on different disks
Posted in 1998
Hi all,
I am planning to re-organize my logical volumes on a different set of disks
( I got me a whole new set !! ) Anyway, there are a lot of tables in these
chunks, and I want them on a different set of disks. Is it okay if I take a
level 0 ontape, drop the logical volumes, re-create the same logical volumes on
a different set of disks, taking care to maintain the same name and sizes and
restore the level 0 on those new logical volumes ? It seems too simple, and I am
sure there is a catch in it somewhere.
Any ideas/suggestions/advice/warnings ??
As usual, thanks in advance for all your help.
