If this is a mailing list vs. a newsgroup, there's one sponsored from MIT that you may want to look at first. Be forewarned though, I subscribed only to the Basis area, and after about two days of being deluged in emails, about 2% signal and 98% noise, I cried UNCLE and unsubscribed as quickly as I could....
