Mike, The best way I know of displaying long character strings on an informix screen is to use the wordwrap function in your .per file. This will allow both display and editing of your long screen. If your truely want horizontal scrolling, you could define function keys the user could press to go back and forth between parts of the string.... but this seems cumbersome to me. Good luck!
