Real and Effective User IDs

I remember there being some discussion a while back about how the sqlturbo sets the Effective and Real User ids while processing. I don't have the ability to go search the archive for that information, so could someone refresh my memory? We seem to have some issues here that could be related to the way Real and Effective user ids are being handled by the sqlturbo process.
