Hi, Is there anyway to build the sysmaster database after the dbspace has been created? I am able to use my new databases, but when I do certain things it tells me it can't access the sysmaster database. Ideas? Thanks, Dave Brown

Before rebuilding sysmaster, though, you should check to see if any processes are locking up tables in the database. One of the first things buildsmi will do is attempt to drop the existing sysmaster. If it cannot get an exclusive lock on the database, you won't be able to rebuild anyway. The sysmaster database is built automatically the first time an instance go online. Try a stop/start and go there...
