Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
abdoell installed an alarm program on IDS 9.30.UC1 (Solaris 8) and it never ran, though the same script worked on 7.31. Paul Watson suggested running it from the command line or replacing it with a script that just touches a file. Andrew Hamm asked about permissions, syntax, restart and the shell line. Ruediger Muehl asked if it was set in ALARMPROGRAM rather than SYSALARMPROGRAM. Unresolved.

What happens when you run the script from command line?
Change the script to something very simple like
#!/bin/sh
touch /tmp/eric

Is the script still with executable permission? does it have syntax errors?
Did you install it AFTER re-starting the engine? Does the #! line (I assume
it has one) point to an existing shell or other interpreter such as Perl?

Are you sure that you inserted the name of the alarm
program in the right place of the onconfig file?
In ALARMPROGRAM and not in SYSALARMPROGRAM?
