We would need the stack trace, hardware platform, and 4GL level as well as the disassembly. Since the parameter passed to memset is hard coded in the disassembly, it is probably that the routine is initializing a structure. This is confirmed somewhat since the address which is being initialized is coming from the frame space. (If this were supposed to be associated with your sql statement, then the length of the space to be cleared would have had to been calculated from a call to strlen...) So I suspect that the memory clearing was simply the clearing of a structure which was allocated on the stack space for the frame. This looks like HP - is it??? M.P.
