Raid 5 on Sun arrays

I'm about to configure Sun strorage arrays (2GB disks) with raid 5 for use with Informix. The default interlace size is 16k, which the manual says "This is a reasonable value for most applications.". However, almost all of the examples show this value being changed to 32k. Does anyone have a recommendation (or strong feeelings) for what an appropriate size should be for database usage? The server will be handling alot of batch processing in a logged database. TIA. Mike Reed mreed@radiix.com
