IUS server error -710
Posted in 1997
Hi,
We are using IUS 9.12/Solaris2.5, and are using the web datablade
(ver 3.30.UC5).
We have experienced a strange error on a production system that is
hard to reproduce. It is an error -710 :
Table TABLENAME has been dropped, altered, or renamed.
We get this error when a web page containing embedded SQL (using
MISQL tag) gets webexploded. Normally this page is used to add new
data or update existing data to tables.
The Error Message book(Jan 97) says that this can be caused for two
main reasons:
a) from explicitly prepared statements or
b) optimized stored procedures out of synch with the tables they
reference.
But our web pages have neither a PREPARE statement or SPL being called
from them. There are, like I said above, embedded SQL in the page,
and in some of the embedded SQL we call UDR in C .so files, but we
have no SPL being called. We never got this error while developing
our code. This is something that has come out of the blue, for no
reason to bite us.
Does the web datablade use the PREPARE statement? Has anyone gotten
this error before? Any clues that might help?
I was told by a support engineer to use onmode -I 710 to get the
server to print out and assertion file when this error happens. This
might help me track down the error. Does anyone know where these
files are? (Are these the af.xxxxx files in the server directory?)
Thanks for the help in advance.
