Re: anomalous tbtape behavior

Dear Mark, I know this seems almost too simple, but it's worth checking out anyway. I had a like problem when my TBCONFIG file was restored to an old copy because of a file system problem. I forgot to check and make sure that the TAPESIZE parameter for the archive tape device was still set to 800000 Kbytes (about 800 MB) instead of the Informix standard of 10 MB. Therefore, when doing a archive, it would archive the 10MB and then ask for a new tape, even though I was using a 2GB tape. After I reset the parameter using tbmonitor, it worked fine again.
