Connecting thru PB 3.0 to Informix 6.0

We have Informix 6.0 running on ScoUnix (ODT) Server and PowerBuilder 3.0 on a Novell Server. The Connectivity between the two servers is well established as lot of other Client/Server Applications are running on it. We do not have I-Star or I-Net , however we heard that they are not required for informix 6.0. Can Someone Suggest how to establish this connection so that PB can access the Informix Database.
