Parameters to Stored Procs

Is there a limit to the number of parameters you can pass to a stored procedure? Also is there a maximum number of return values? I'm getting some very strange syntax errors when trying to create a procedure. The only obvious difference between this and others that compile fine is that it has 26 input parameters.
