INSTALL INFX on SUN SOLARIS

Has anyone ever installed Informix on a SUN - SOlaris 2.4? (Stupid question....I'm sure someone has...) Anyway, I have all the Informix code sitting on my server and I'm very familiar with how to set up and manage Informix (7.1) but I've only done it on IBM boxes...RS6000. It is pretty simple with the Smit utility. However, How do you allocate disk chunks on Sun machines. I have a Sun Sparc 20 running Solaris and I'm not sure how to grab raw disk space.
