Re: esqlcgi, how to use INFORMIXSERVER with web freeware?

INFORMIXSERVER is not relevant with the 5.0x and prior versions of ESQL/C. If I remember aright, you have two main options, depending on whether you have OnLine/I-Star or SE/I-Net or both. The 'unable to attach to shared mem' message means you have OnLine on your system, but you don't have TBCONFIG pointing to the correct OnLine configuration file, so it is failing to find your server. Option 1, therefore, is to set TBCONFIG correctly. Option 2 assumes you have SE on the machine, and you can set SQLEXEC=sqlexec; this will make it run the SE engine instead of the OnLine engine, so shared memory won't be needed. If you run into problems, print the entire environment to some file and examine that -- it normally indicates what you need to set. }From informix-list-owner@rmy.emory.edu Fri Jun 21 06:21 PDT 1996 }From: pobhan@bnr.ca (Prem Obhan) }Subject: esqlcgi, how to use INFORMIXSERVER with web freeware? }Date: 20 Jun 1996 21:10:31 GMT }To: informix-list@rmy.emory.edu }X-Informix-List-To: johnl@informix.com }X-Informix-List-Id: <news.25235> } }I'am running Informix 5.xx ISQL 4.12, and trying to run example1/customer }from my browser.
