Deny connect over network user informix

Hi, it's possible to deny connection to the informix database over tcp with user informix? So user informix works local only. Thanks Marco
You can use /etc/hosts.deny & /etc/hosts.allow to restrict what hosts user informix can connect/login to the server's host machine. You can also use the ~informix/.rhosts file making it writable only by root so user informix can't expand its own permissions. Since IDS uses the OS login system for user validation, this is the only way with default security. If you are using PAM validation you have additional options. Art S.
