Did you specify the variables DB_LOCALE and CLIENT_LOCALE after upgrading
new era? I think these variables are used for GLS (Global Language Support)
starting from Informix 7.2x, not in NLS of Informix 7.1x and you can get
strange messages if DBLANG/DBNLS/CLIENT_LOCALE/DB_LOCALE are not set
consistently. Try to eliminate them.
Besides that, are you sure about DBLANG=1 ? DBLANG should specifiy a
directory beyond $INFORMIXDIR/msg where the messages are stored. Normally it
is something like DBLANG=C or DBLANG=fr etc.
DBDATE=Y4MD0 ?? Are you sure you want a "0" as delimiter betweenyear/month/day?
