How to connect Informix OWS and FileMaker?

Hello friends, let me ask you for some consultation: I am to connect Informix OWS 7.22 (on Sinix 5.43) and FileMaker 3.0 or 4.0 (on MACs and WINNT). We need to update tables serveral times a day (at least). A direkt connection would be better. Is the someone who did it or has knowledge on which MiddleWare-Products it can be realised.
