Since DBSPACETEMP is also an overridding environment variable this could be a user with an old environment, an old cron job, or a user connecting from another machine with a differently named tempspace. I have seen all three situations. It is harmless except that that connection is using rootdbs for temp tables and sortspace (assuming PSORT_DBTEMP is not set also). Art S. Kagel
