But why was > Illustra so much faster? Almost certainly. What sort of indexes are you using? The standard, a b-tree implementation, is almost useless in the situation you describe. IUS allows you many different options, and also offers access through the verity text datablade. I suggest that you start there with your quest for subsecond performance. -Richard ps: Yes, almost.
