How To connect to remote database in Online 7.1

Informix Experts, We are having a problem connecting to a remote database. The sqlhosts file on the client station looks like level3 onsoctcp level3 wideworld and the /etc/services file looks like wideworld 1556/tcp The sqlhosts file on the server is level3 onipcshm level3 level3 level3 onsoctcp level3 wideworld and the /etc/services file is wideworld 1556/tcp Now when we try to dbaccess from the client, it tries to connect for a while, and then comes with an error 908 (cannot connect, server down or network down etc). We can dbaccess locally on the server. There is no oninit running on the client. What are we doing wrong here? Any and all help on this matter appreciated. Thanx, Raj.
