Hi! I have a question. Why, I was working, editing programs, compiling normally, ocassionally When I execute my program this error appear: Program stopped at "con30976.4gl", line number 0. 4GL run-time error number -4502. The 4GL program has run out of runtime data space memory. My DBA say, that is problem of my programs, but i don't think so because, this error appear occasionally, sometimes works fine, some times the error appears. I check the manual error, and it says that the program is very long, and i need to divided it, but the program only have 300 lines !!! I use : INFORMIX-4GL Version 6.04.UC1 INFORMIX-SQL Version 6.04.UC1 Please help me. -- Laura Ventura
300 lines is not that many lines but you can still manage to consume a lot memory if you have lots of large arrays, strings, or incorrect loops in your program. I would suggest you check all of the above... Laura: Even though your program has only 300 lines it may be including library functions that are either unnessary and/or substantially larger. Good Luck.
