HELP on: ISAM error: key value locked

Hi, does anyone has some hints for us how to deal with this error? SQL statement error number -271. Could not insert new row into the table. ISAM error number -144. ISAM error: key value locked We think that there should not be a lock. What logic should we implement into our application? Does waiting and retrying solve this? Any idea very wellcome.
