disk utilization HIGH

our production system (informix 9.21 on HP-UNIX ver 11.00) is running nearly 100% for disk utilization for long periods of time (and sometimes 100% for CPU) when looking at GLANCE. does anyone have some suggestions on commands/tools to get "behind the scenes" and try to decipher the cause of our problem?
