malc_p@hotmail.com offerred: :Has ANYONE got any info on this version, release due imminently? :compliant tool to run them, also forcing a particular index to a query, quick :retrieve of first 5 rows of a large query, case-insensitive searching, but why Optimizer hints is in there, which is pretty cool (and looooong requested). The "quick retrieve of first 5 rows", as I currently understand it, is not what you might think. It does not limit the results of the query to the first X rows, but rather changes the optimizer strategy to one that will produce the first X rows as quickly as possible. I also heard Informix will bundle Legato as their "native" storage manager for onbar. Dave ********** "Everybody plays the fool, sometimes."
