It all gets back to being able to find the right person, and ask the right questions. IBM-at-large works on the principle that they don't offer up anything freely, you must ask, and ask the right question, or you don't get a response--or the right response. True to their heritage of computing, they transform their people into robots! note to self: maybe why Informix purchase went so well, a lot of Informix people behaved the same way, and still do.
