Tom, } I've been having some shared lib problems under AIX 4.2, Informix 7.22 } UC1. I talked to the tech support at Informix and they were able to } resolve my problem with oninit. I was getting the following: } } informix@ism6000:/usr/informix>oninit } Could not load program oninit } Symbol kaio_rdwr in /usr/lib/libc.a is undefined } Symbol listio in /usr/lib/libc.a is undefined } Symbol acancel in /usr/lib/libc.a is undefined } Symbol iosuspend in /usr/lib/libc.a is undefined } Could not load library libc.a[aio.o] } Error was: Exec format error } } The tech had me run the following as root } } informix@ism6000:/usr/informix/etc>chdev -l aio0 } aio0 changed } informix@ism6000:/usr/informix/etc>mkdev -l aio0 } aio0 Available } } and then oninit was happy. He was unable to tell me what this did. } However, when I rebooted this morning, the same thing happend and I had } to run chdev and mkdev again.
