NT Workload Server...pick a front end

Spent lo these many months taking a 4-GL under DOS (Novell) system (which has been kicking a** since 1986 doncha know) and decided to convert it to run on an NT server. A small office..no more than 8-10 people doing input, but fairly good size tables...half to a million rows per. Everyone clamoring for a graphics front end. Ok. Went with New Era because of the ability to use the 4-GL reports (roughly 280 reports that would function with only minor modification..thank god). Well, as we all now know, this may not have been the best decision. At another turning point with the system and have another development effort under way. I need a nice front end to hook up to Workgroup Server for NT..running under Win '95 at the client side. Everything I used to use seems to become history before it is off the shelf...Delphi, Foxpro, everything. Java isn't ready for this that I can see. What would be a (gasp) safe choice right now? Would love to keep the 4-gl capability for the report writing, but would be great to find a front end that someone on earth knows...and may be here tomorrow. Remember under NT, not Unix. Thanks. -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum
