Year 2000 and recompilation of 4GL forms

Hi ya'll Someone has asked me if (why?) their forms need to be recompiled when migrating from V5.03.UC1 to V5.10.UC1 of Informix and 4GL V4.12.UD2X3 to V4.20.UC1 to meet year 2000. I could see where the forms would need recompilation if they have "format" statements for dates. What is the straight story? Do *all* the forms require recompilation? Thanks in advance, C.
