Actualmente no tengo configurdo dicha variable. Mi plataforma es: Solaris 10 + Informix 10.00FC5W5 + HDR (OLTP) Muchas gracias _________________________________________________________________ Reg'strate en el nuevo Windows Live Messenger beta. http://imagine-msn.com/minisites/messenger/default.aspx?locale=es-ar

Hopefully you'll understand English... If not you can try at the end of this
message...
You should at least consider using it. Without specifying it in $ONCONFIG it
defaults to 0, which means disable the statement cache. In practice it's like
running V7. Statement cache can bring significant improvement in OLTP
workloads, but it may vary depending on the application. You should read the
chapter of Performance Guide for more information. There are several parameters
related to the statement cache that you should be aware of. Most (if not all)
can be dynamically changed with onmode commands (onmode -- or Administrator
Reference Guide for more information).
The advantage you'd get by using this feature is basically a big saving in the
preparation (syntax checking, parsing and query plan calculation) of your SQL
statements (between sessions). As you are running, or in v7, the cache is local
to the session. This parameter enables the cache to be global.
m's informaci'n).
posible gracias a Google ;)
