Help from 4Gen Pros needed

We have several header/detail screens that, when in an update mode, will lose all detail rows when the <Esc> key is pressed. This is happening in the GL system, accounts maintenance program, when the uuser is trying to add new rows for additional budget periods. It is also happpening in a custom app on another machine when the user is trying to add additional rows in the detail section of the screen. I can see in the code where all of the detail rows are being deleted after copying them to an array and can see where the array is supposed to be written back out to disk when the user is finished, but this does not seem to be happening.
