dbaccess vs isql

SE 7.2 SQL 6 Does anyone know why the 'connect to' command can be used in dbaccess and not isql. Or on a more general note what are the differences between the two, are ther any tech notes for example. I hope some can help me out Thank-you Adam Sorati.
